We can make a difference , Made a difference to that one !!!

As a man walked a desolate beach one cold, gray morning he began to see another figure, far in the distance. Slowly the two approached each other, and he could make out a local native who kept leaning down, picking something up and throwing it out into the water. Time and again he hurled things into the ocean.

As the distance between them continued to narrow, the man could see that the native was picking up starfish that had been washed upon the beach and, one at a time, was throwing them back into the water.

Puzzled, the man approached the native and asked what he was doing. “I’m throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, it’s low tide right now and all of these starfish have been washed up onto the shore. If I don’t throw them back into the sea, they’ll die up here from lack of oxygen.”

“But there must be thousands of starfish on this beach,” the man replied. “You can’t possibly get to all of them. There are just too many. And this same thing is probably happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast. Can’t you see that you can’t possibly make a difference?”

The local native smiled, bent down and picked up another starfish, and as he threw it back into the sea he replied, “Made a difference to that one!”

Each of us is but one person: limited, burdened with our own cares and responsibilities. We may feel there is so much to be done, and we have so little to give. We’re usually short of everything, especially time and money.

When we leave this shore, there will still be millions of starfish stranded on the beach. Maybe we can’t change the whole world, but there isn’t one of us who can’t help change one person’s whole world. One at a time. We can make a difference.

Life is a do-it-yourself project !!!

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.
When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “my gift to you.”
What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.
So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort.
Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would have done it differently. Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, “Life is a do-it-yourself project.” Who could say it more clearly? Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

Embracing Imperfection

When I was a little girl, I could remember, my mom making breakfast and dinner for us. And I remember one night in particular, when she had made dinner after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of vegetables, salad and burned chappati in front of my dad.

I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed'   Yet all my dad did was, to reach for his chappati, smile at mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but, I do remember watching him smear chatani on that chappati and eat every bite?

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad For burning the chapati. And I'll never forget what he said. Baby, I love burnt chapati.
Later that night, I went to kiss daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his chapati burnt. He wrapped me in his arms and said Dear , your momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired, And besides, a little burnt chappati never hurt anyone.

You know life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people.I am not the best housekeeper or cook.

What I'v learnt over the years , Is that learning to accept each other's faults , And choosing to celebrate each other's difference , Is one of the most important keys , for creating a healthy growing ,And lasting relationship. And that's my prayer for you today, that you will learn to take The good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life , And lay them at the feet of God Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship Where burnt chappati isn't a deal-breaker" We could extend this to any relationship, in fact . As understanding is the base of any relationship , Be it a husband - wife or parent - child or even with friends.

Don't put the key to your happiness in Someone else's pocket, but, into your own

The health benefits of being in love

Love lowers risk of alcohol abuse

You may be footing a bigger weekly wine bill for all of those cosy nights in, but research has shown that you are less likely to abuse or depend upon alcohol if you are in a relationship. In the study, only four per cent of people who had been in a relationship for between two and four years misused alcohol; whilst only three per cent of those who had been in a relationship for more than five years reported abusing alcohol. However, 12 per cent of the participants who were not in a relationship in their 30’s were described as misusing alcohol and 13.5 per cent of people who had not been in a relationship for more than two years treated alcohol in an unhealthy way.

Love keeps us young

We all know that being in love and making love are two very different scenarios and apparently so does Mother Nature. Being in love is often very trying and can age us; however, research suggests that making love keeps us young. A study conducted by researchers at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Scotland found that those women who have sex four or more times a week look 10 years younger than their actual age. Consultant neuropsychologist Dr David Weeks said that loving couples not only look after their bodies more, but that they also benefit from the physical and emotional effects of sex. So, next time you reach for your anti-ageing cream, maybe opt for the baby oil instead?

Love: good for women, bad for men?

When you think of a married man, do you think of the grumpy, beaten-down stereotype? If you do, then don’t worry, apparently there’s some truth behind this well-worn notion. The English Longitudinal Study of Ageing found that women report a higher quality of life when they are in a relationship, but their husbands or partners report having a significantly lower quality of life. However, although it is possible that relationships fulfill the needs of women more than men, compared to single people, those in a relationship are still happier overall. In a separate study 40 per cent of married couples said they were happy, compared to only 25 per cent of single people.
The health benefits of being in love

Love improves our mental health

Love has many physical benefits, but it would seem that men and women who are in a relationship get lots of mental health benefits too. In New Zealand a team at the University of Otago examined 1,000 people. They found that people who had been in a relationship for longer than five years were less likely to be depressed and attempt suicide. Other studies have found similar findings, stating that married people report lower levels of depression and distress. Apparently married men are also half as likely to commit suicide as single men, and one third as likely as divorced men. Perhaps the phrase “you’re driving me crazy” should no longer be used in reference to your partner?

Love gives us more birthdays

Sadly, being in love does not mean you get to have more than one birthday a year. However, it does mean that you get to see more of them. The mortality rates for single males aged between 30 and 59 are two and half times higher than their non-single counterparts! Don’t gloat too much though girls. Single women also face a 23 percent higher mortality rate than those who are married. Researchers suggest that this difference in longevity is due to the fact that most single people have poorer health benefits, a lower income and are socially isolated. Being supported and connected to others is an essential part of keeping healthy.

Love heals the heart

Perhaps it’s no coincidence that love is often depicted using a heart shape. A recent study by researchers at the University of Rochester in New York found that those in a happy relationship are three times more likely to survive heart surgery.  The researchers reported that a good marriage can be as beneficial to the heart as quitting smoking, staying at a healthy weight and reducing high blood pressure. Similar findings were found by those at the University of North Carolina and a study in Human Communication Research.  They both found that being in love and expressing your emotions had a positive impact on cholesterol.

What is Recession?

This story is about a man who once upon a time was selling Hotdogs by the roadside. He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers. He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio. His eyes were weak, so he never watched television. But enthusiastically, he sold lots of hotdogs.

He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to increase his sales. His sales and profit went up. He ordered more a more raw material and buns and sold more. He recruited more supporting staff to serve more customers. He started offering home deliveries. Eventually he got himself a bigger and better stove. As his business was growing, the son, who had recently graduated from college, joined his father.
Then something strange happened.
The son asked, "Dad, aren't you aware of the great recession that is coming our way?" The father replied, "No, but tell me about it." The son said, "The international situation is terrible. The domestic situation is even worse. We should be prepared for the coming bad times."

The man thought that since his son had been to college, read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV. He ought to know and his advice should not be taken lightly. So the next day onwards, the father cut down the his raw material order and buns, took down the colorful signboard, removed all the special schemes he was offering to the customers and was no longer as enthusiastic. He reduced his staff strength by giving layoffs. Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his Hotdog stand. And his sales started coming down rapidly and so did the profit. The father said to his son, "Son, you were right". "We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am glad you warned me ahead of time."

Moral of the Story: It's all in your MIND! And we actually FUEL this recession much more than we think.

Are you ready for a road trip?.. Gr8 Way for Outing.. Late Nite & Long Drives ..Nite Outz

Are you ready for a road trip?

By Erika Rasmusson Janes Early in our dating days, my husband and I took a road trip from New York City to Minneapolis. I knew the 21-hour trip could make or break our relationship—after all, being confined to a car for so many hours was sure to bring out annoying, er, interesting quirks in both of us (like my frequent need for bathroom breaks and his fondness for Broadway show tunes).

1. Talk about the trip before you take it.
“People have wildly different underlying reasons to take trips, even when they seem to match up perfectly on the surface,” says www.RoadTripAmerica.com editor Megan Edwards. So discuss some key questions before you leave.

2. Don’t be afraid of silence.
It’s almost inevitable that one of you will want to tune out at times. And that’s fine. “Quiet time is totally appropriate on a road trip,” says psychologist Terri Orbuch, Ph.D. “

3. Let the music play.
When it comes to tunes, learn to share. That’s how Baker and his girlfriend survived their road trip. Their rule was simple: The driver ruled the radio (which often meant NPR when she was driving and baseball games when he was driving).

4. Determine who’s driving.
My car-loving husband claims my night-driving almost killed us once, and I’m happy to let him hog the wheel. But if you both love (or hate) driving, agree to an equal split.

5. Figure out finances.
“It’s important to decide things like how expenses are going to be handled in advance,” says Edwards. “Talk about things like speeding tickets, even though they might seem unlikely.”

6. Make food a priority.
It’s hard to eat right on the road. Regardless, most women (and plenty of men) aren’t happy eating fast food three times a day.

Which brings us to:
7. Road trips do make great stories
—Mauer and her husband still laugh over the fact that she was so concerned about the cleanliness of the sheets in that dive they stayed in that she wouldn’t take her clothes off—in part because working through issues like getting lost or getting a flat can really help a couple connect.

Cute & Touchy Luv Story... A sparrow was in love with a white rose"

A sparrow was in love with a white rose..one fine day this sparrow proposed the white rose...the white rose told when she turns red she will love him..sparrow tares his bodyand slowly spreads his blood on the white rose and it turns red and fell in love but the sparrow is no more..

" Lil and Touchy LOVE STORY...Must Read....""

His girlfriend walked away with tears and said, " just take care of my eyes dear ...******

****So Things arent what they seems to us , n frdz trust is more imp than luv in Luv , So trust ur love so that ur love can also trust u.****

This is a LOVELY STORY I had read .....Don't Miss it Out.. ( A Pot and Its Misery.)

A potter used to walk to a nearby pond down the hill to fill water and carry it back to water his master's garden. To do this he had to carry two earthen pots suspended by two ropes connected to a big wood stick. The hard working potter carried the stick on his shoulders with the two pots hanging, everyday down and up the hill.

The two pots that the potter used to carry were really in awe of him. However one of the pot was slightly broken and hence it was not able to hold the water filled from the pond. Half of the water was spilled along the way. It made the pot very sad for it assumed that it was of no use to the master and the potter himself.

After many days not able to bear the pain and sadness the broken pot finally told the potter about its misery. He told him that he was feeling like he was a huge burden and waste on his master as he was not able to provide the full services.

Hearing this, the potter knelt down and lovingly told the broken pot-
"Son you are the most beautiful thing the master could have imagined. I am aware that you spill half of the water along the way. Hence I sowed some rose seeds along the way and you water them everyday. Those seeds, now beautiful rose flowers along the way, are because of your efforts. I pluck two of these beautiful roses everyday and put it in the vase for the master. Have you ever seen the happiness on the master's face on seeing those roses everyday? No my child you are precious in your own way."

This story touched my heart and made me feel important. For every living and non living thing serve a purpose in this world and are important, even if they may seem meaningless.

Everything and everyone in this world is unique. It is this uniqueness that sets us apart from others, things which we can do no one else can. From that day I stopped comparing and complaining. Just like the broken pot...

Kuch Samaj mein aaya...From that day I stopped comparing and complaining. Just like the broken pot...

"" House of 1000 Mirrors...Advisory Article ....Nice One.."""

Long ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors.

A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house.

He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door.

When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."

All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet?

So Mast Raho n Cheers ....

" Simple but very useful piece of wisdom "...Nice One

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He continued, "and that's the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on." "As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."
In simple words, if you have a problem or anything that is eating into your peace, keep it aside for as much of time as you can afford to, and come back to it. You will be amazed at how quickly the issue becomes a non issue, in your second consideration. "So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of the day down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can."

So, my friend, why not take a while to just simply RELAX.
Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while. Life is short. Enjoy it!

One paragraph that explains life!....Nice One

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied: The world over -- 5 crore children start playing tennis, 50 lakh learn to play tennis, 5 lakh learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD "Why me?". And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

Happiness keeps u Sweet, Trials keep u Strong, Sorrow keeps u Human, Failure Keeps u Humble, Success keeps u Glowing, But only God Keeps u Going...

Keep Going...

A Box Full of Kisses....Very Cute n touchy Story...Must Read...

We all live but like common people..

Jena ha aiso jiyo kisi ke liye misal ban jao..
Kya laye the ...kya le kar jana ha...
Ab tak kya kiya ha..aur kya karna ha....
Sabko pyar do... B'cos ek din sabko jana ha..

Read this cute short story below.......

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy."

The man was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found out the box was empty. He yelled at her, stating, "Don't you know, when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you, Daddy."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.

Only a short time later, an accident took the life of the child. It is also told that her father kept that gold box by his bed for many years and, whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each one of us, as humans beings, have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses... from our children, family members, friends, and God. There is simply no other possession, anyone could hold, more precious than this.

" The Power of Holding Hands".........

I was sitting on a beach one summer day, watching two children, a boy and a girl, playing in the sand.
They were hard at work building an elaborate sandcastle by the water's edge with gates and towers and moats and internal passages. Just when they had nearly finished their project, a big wave came along and knocked it down, reducing it to a heap of wet sand.
I expected the children to burst into tears, devastated by what had happened to all their hard work. But they surprised me. Instead, they ran up the shore away from the water, laughing and holding hands, and sat down to build another castle.
I realized that they had taught me an important lesson. All the things in our lives, all the complicated structures we spend so much time and energy creating, are built on sand.
our relationships to other people endure. Sooner or later, the wave will come along and knock down what we have worked so hard to build up. When that happens, only the person who has somebody's hand to hold will be able to laugh.

People come into your life for a reason....!!!!!

PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

A GIRL IN LOVE - Shaayad unse pyaar karne lagi hun..!............

Pehle mein chain se soya karti thi,
ab raaton ko karvatein badalne lagi hun.

pehle mein sabse bahut baatein kiya karti thi,
ab chupchaap rehne lagi hun.

pehle mein mehfilon mein raha karti thi,
ab akeli rehni lagi hun.

shaayri aur kavitaaon ka shokh nahi tha mujhe,
par ab khud shaayri likhne lagi hun
.

unse mulakat hone ke baad,
jaane kyun unke baare mein hi sochne lagi hun.

pehle mein doston ki nakal kiya karti thi,
ab aaine ke saamne unki nakal karne lagi hun.

zindagi ke safar mein akele chalte chalte achanak,
unke saath chalne ki khwayish karne lagi hun.

sablog unka naam le lekar mujhe pareshaan kiya karte the,
par ab yeh pareshaani bhi pasand karne lagi hun.

jo lamhe humne saath bitaye the,
woh lamhe ab roz yaad karne lagi hun.

woh mujhe jin baaton par hasaya karte the,
ab un baaton ko dohra dohra kar hasne lagi hun.

sab log mere khoye khoye rehne ki wajah puchte the,
par ab yahi sawaal khud se puchne lagi hun.

bhale hi woh mujhse door hain par,
har ghadi unki aahat mehsoos karne lagi hun.

ab to unka zikar hone par,
main to sharmane lagi hun.

pehle main mandir jaati thi bhagwan ke darshan karne,
par ab unke darshan ki duaa maangne lagi hun
.

pehle woh mujhe begaane lagte the,
par ab unme woh apnapan mehsoos karne lagi hun.

pehle main pyaar ki baatein bilkul nahi samajhti thi,
par ab woh sab samjhne lagi hun.

main apni khudki haalat pe hairan hun,
main aisi kyun hone lagi hun?

mujhe aisa lagta hai yaaron,
shaayad mein unse pyaar karne lagi hun..!

The Too-Comfortable Zone..Fight The Urge To " Let Urself Go Once You Are a Part Of A Couple "

Cozy in Love

It's a big milestone in any new relationship: entering the Comfort Zone. You're there the first time you two rent a movie in sweats instead of dolling up for dinner, when you do something silent and separate (like work you've brought home) together, when -- perhaps most romantic of all -- you both do...an errand. No, really: that's when you truly start to feel cozy and couple-y. When he's seen you without makeup in your avocado masque, without your contacts, you know you're in A Relationship. So, paradoxically, it's "exciting" to be boring.

But not forever. Spouses and long-term partners do have a tendency to "let themselves go" over time. Cozy can become routine, sweats can become unsexy...........Contd on the Link Below..
